Extension of Visitors Visa

Hi ,
My mother was given 3 months on her I 94 and my father 6 months . I am considering applying for extension of the my mothers Visa . What are the chances of denial ? What are the important things to consider while applying for the extension ?

Sandeep - My mom's appln got rejected from TSC as i hadn't provided the return ticket info and they also site the lack of ties in India to return - seems like rejections are high on their mind - didn't give her a chance to send a copy of the ticket before rejecting!!
