Multiple Entry into US within the same year

Hi,

I had my Mom visit me to the US. She stayed with me for three months and since I had to travel back to India to get my Visa stamping done I had to bring her back along with me. Our plan is to stay here in India for some three weeks and then travel back together to the US.

Will this be a problem at the PoE? Will my Mom be questioned about her visit back to US in just three weeks time. Ideally she had to leave US because I was leaving too. And at her second visit she will not be staying for more than 2 months or her total period of stay in this calendar year 2014 will not exceed 6months. I am hoping this should be just fine. Any thoughts? Need some guidance here.

Unless she can give them a real documented reason for a quick visit like medical treatment, Yes, it will be a problem. They won't care she had to return to India because of your stamping. Their criteria is that casual visitors do not return so quickly .
If they do, they have an intent to stay in US for long ( immigrant intent). She can be sent back or on intense questioning, she can be admitted for a short period.
All depending on the officer.
