  • Visitor Visa Extension Records

Hi, I visited the US in 1997. At that time, I requested for the extension twice. The first one was approved and the last one was denied.

Now I'm in a process of applying for another visitor visa. During the interview, the interviewer asked me for the proof/paperwork (the approval/denied notice letter) of my previous extended stay.

As you can see, it was 12 years ago and I lost/misplaced all that paperworks. So, my question is: is there a way or website that I can request copies of those letters????

    Thanks a bunch.

Thank you very much for the help.

I called USCIS 1-800 numbers and they told me the same thing.

However, upon reading the material on the link you provided, I stumbled on this paragraph: " In order to receive a duplicate approval notice, you must file form I-824 while the original application or petition is still in effect."

Does that mean I should have filed I-824 while my visa extension was still valid???? My visa has obviously expired years ago, so can I still get a duplicate???
