Visitor Visa for Mom (age 58) 90 Days visit

My mom is visiting to US for 90 days, current age 58 years old.

1. Is it worth to buy Medical Insurance, let's say if we had to visit for cold & fever (which are common specially due to weather change).
2. Do travel insurance covers Flu? (not Flu shot)
