  • travel health insurance for my sister

Hello, I would like a quote on travel health insurance for my sister. She lives in the Philippines and has to travel to the USA. She cannot afford travel insurance so I would like to take it out for her and pay for her cover. Your website for a quote is FRUSTRATING me as for the prospective client's birth date, it keeps coming up with 2011 for the year, even if I type in 1961 which is my sister's year of birth. She is 56 years old, born on the 6th February 1961. I am looking for health insurance cover that covers pre-existing medical conditions like asthma and neuralgia which has been "dormant" in my sister, but could flare up again anytime. Please send me a quote. She is travelling to the USA and will be there from 18 February 2017 to 21 March 2017. Thank you!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs.

The plans are designed to cover the new accidents and new illness that occur after the effective date of the policy. Plans do not cover pre-existing conditions , general routine doctors’ visits or medication related to preexisting conditions .

There are some plans that will offer coverage for an acute onset of a pre-existing condition. For more information about this coverage please see the link to the Acute Onset FAQ listed below.

    Acute Onset of a Pre-existing condition: https://www.insubuy.com/visitor-insu...ng-conditions/

If you would like for us to recommend a plan please provide her visa status while visiting the United States as well as the state that she will need coverge in and we would be more than happy to send a quote wil avaiable plans.

Meanwhile, you can use the following linke to view plan on the website.

Thank you for replying to my email. I was about to ring your office when I realized it would be night time there and your offices would be closed. I hope you can continue to help me online while I am in the process of shopping around for the best travel insurance deal for my sister.

She is travelling to and within the US from 19 February to 20 March 2017 (these dates have been adjusted from those mentioned in my first email). She will spend a week in San Francisco, 5 days in Seattle, one week in New York, and the remaining days in Massachusetts, to be with her daughter who is a student there. She has a B1/B2 (tourist) visa. She does NOT have health insurance in her home country (Philippines), and therefore would need PRIMARY travel medical insurance while in the US.

Looking at your plans, I am thinking of taking out Plan C, Visitor Secure at US $ 62.10 premium. Is this for maximum $1,000,000 cover and without her incurring any deductible per claim? Or does each plan require a deductible?

As I will be purchasing the insurance cover for her:

      1. In your "Payment" option online, do you have a page that clearly states that billing is to be directed to me, her sister, in Australia, and a section that clearly states my sister - a Philippine resident travelling to the US - is the one being covered?

      2. After payment, will you initially SEND ME BY ELECTRONIC POST the clearly worded insurance policy (in her name), which I can examine, then forward to my sister. Or will you send BOTH of us a copy? I would prefer that you send it to me first as the email connection where she lives is often fluctuates and is unreliable.

      3. To which insurance partner or agency is Insubay affiliate with in mainland USA? There have been reports/complaints online about local affiliate insurance companies who actually deal with clients if and when claims are made and are given the run-around.

      Thank you for your advice.

You can purchase Visitor secure plan but it’s fixed coverage plan and it provides very limited coverage. Please read the difference between fixed and comprehensive plan at, https://www.insubuy.com/visitors-insurance/

Please visit our website at www.insubuy.com

Please enter appropriate criteria. Policy max. at least $50,000 , $100,000 . You will find fixed and comprehensive plan and you can also compare them side by side. You can purchase either Atlas America or Patriot America Plus plan under comprehensive category. You can purchase Visitor Secure fixed plan as long as you understand how plan works and at the time of claim how much insurance company will pay for it.

You can choose the deductible whatever you want. Visitor Secure has deductible per incident and max. coverage is lifetime of the policy. While most of the comprehensive plan has deductible one time.

        1. You can provide your billing address and rest of the information will be hers. Yes. If she is eligible to purchase any of the plans from our website.
        2. Please provide your e-mail address. You will receive insurance confirmation by e-mail which will have an attachment. You can open and there will be link to print the documents. You can also choose plastic card will be mailed to the address on the application.
        3. Please read about us. https://www.insubuy.com/about-us/

Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
