  • Why to buy insurance if pre-existing condition not covered?

Why should we get this insurance if it does not cover pre -existing conditions ,because it is the pre-existing condition that you are scared of rest nobody suddenly develops a deadly disease in 3 months, so you guy's are only good for cold/cough and doctor visits is that right?

Please look at our FAQ at https://www.insubuy.com/guide/ I have copied the text for your reference below.

You may be worried about pre-existing conditions but you never know what may happen in future. That is what insurance is for, it is for unforeseen and unpredictable.

Following is also a reply from insurance company:
Some of the things we have covered would include but not be limited to the following: accidents (auto, slips and falls, bicycle, pedestrian hit by car, burns, cuts requiring stitches), food poisoning, regular poisoning, Hepatitis A (food born illness), concussion, contusion or hematoma, viral and bacterial diseases contracted while in the states and which are not related to any pre-x conditions (i.e. meningitis, west nile, pneumonia, e-coli), fractures, dislocation of bone or joint, appendicitis, dog bite, insect bites, snake bite, injury due to being a victim of a crime (mugging, car jacking, assault), acute infections (upper respiratory, urinary tract, ear infection, yeast), travelers diarrhea, sprains, strains, laryngitis, pharangitis, conjunctivitis, rhinitis, fever, bronchitis, croup, contact dermatitis, poison ivy dermatitis, cold, flu, mumps, measles, chicken pox.

Q: What is the point of buying insurance if it does not cover pre-existing medical conditions? These are the ones we need to get covered. Probability of other illnesses is very low anyway.
A: Even though the insurance will not cover pre-existing conditions, it will cover other conditions that were not pre-existing or unrelated to pre-existing conditions. Insurance companies work on the risk basis, lower the probability of paying the claims, less premium they would charge. Higher the probability(generally in case of elders), they would charge higher premium.
When the insurance companies knows for sure that they will have to pay the claims after the person buys the insurance, they do not want to insure those conditions because that is clear loss of money for them, that they know in advance about.
The reason they charge something like $100/month and provide $50,000 coverage is all because probability of insurance company having to pay even $100 to you is quite less.
    Thanks & Regards
