  • Visitors Health Insurance premium quotes and coverage questions

    Hi

I would like to request some info about this health insurance, and appreciate if you can provide me that info.

My parents are Indian citizens of ages 64 and 56, and will be on a 6 month visit to US. My dad has high blood pressure and diabetes, and my mom has thyroid problem. Will those medical conditions covered under this insurance? I just wanted to be sure to have coverage in case of any emergency.
What is the claims process for a treatment in near by hospitals? I live in the area of zip code 94085, and what are the hospitals or medical groups honoring this insurance?
Some quotes regarding the insurance premiums .

    Regards

Thank you for your interest in purchasing visitors insurance for your parents.

    1. Any routine visits or prescription drugs needed because of those pre-existing conditions would not be covered under any plan.
    Please read https://www.insubuy.com/visitor-medi...ng-conditions/

However, please look at Atlas America at https://www.insubuy.com/atlasamerica-insurance/
It will cover up to $15,000 in Acute Onset of Pre-Existing Conditions (Unforeseen emergency) for the persons below the age of 70 years.

    2. Look at https://www.insubuy.com/visitor-insurance/
Next to each plan logo, there is a link 'How Plan Works'.
Also, there is a 'Provider Directory' link in most plans. You can find the providers in your area.

    3. Visit https://www.insubuy.com and enter the details about your parents. You will get quotes from all the companies at the same time, and you can compare them side by side. You can make instant purchase of the product you like.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.
    Thanks & Regards

      Hi Narendra

Thanks for the reply and links.

I went thru the first link info, and it looked as if I am putting money into a drain by buying this Insurance for parents. Nothing seems to be covered as they have pre-existing conditions, and other small things also can be linked and the claims process seem to be heavily loaded against the patient.

Appreciate if you can give some info about how I can mitigate some costs associated with any emergencies emanating from pre-existing conditions.

        1. That's not true.
Most of the customers we sell insurance to have pre-existing conditions. They are buying insurance for future unforeseen problems. You never what would happen in future. You may be worried about the pre-existing conditions but something new may happen.
And that article describes everything in detail.

If the house is already on fire, you can't buy homeowner's insurance to cover that. After your car is already damaged in an accident, you can't buy car insurance to get that repaired. Medical insurance also works similarly. It would be a loss for insurance company to cover any pre-existing conditions.

        2. You will have to pay the expenses yourself. There is no other option. You have to think carefully before inviting them whether you want to take the risk.
        Thanks & Regards
