My daughter, aged 38, an English national, wants to move [to America with her partner, an American national. She is pregnant, due in December but also she has epilepsy. This is controlled by medication, she has not had a fit for over 6 years and she works as a Pilates instructor. Ifs she goes to America in the next couple of months she will need medical insurance not only for the pregnancy but also to keep an eye on the epilepsy. Her partner's current medical insurance will only cover her after 6 months residence in the states and we are told that existing conditioned will not be covered. There is no way she could go to America without medical cover, so would a travel insurance cover her for the first 6 months? Currently, they are not married, presumably hey will be at some time. I look forward to your comments and suggestions if you are unable to cover her yourself.

There is no individual insurance plan available in the U.S. market that would cover maternity expenses if she is already pregnant.
Other pre-existing conditions are not covered as well.
Insurance will cover any new medical conditions, injuries or accidents that may occur after the effective date of the policy. You can look at several such plans at https://www.insubuy.com
