  • Atlas America policy questions

    Hello,

I have a question about Atlas America policy.

They say that for the emergency treatment of a "illness", not injury, the charges for use of emergency room (or ambulance) is covered only if the patient is hospitalized (inpatient).

Do they mean they will not pay anything, like the doctors fees, procedures, tests etc..or they are referring that they are not paying the ambulance charge or the emergency room charge BUT they will pay everything else that is covered.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

If an emargency room visit for an illness does not result in direct hospital
admission, then the room charges are not covered. Further treatment is
covered. This means anything that is billed under the emergency room would
not be covered and you would pay out of pocket.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions
    Thanks & Regards
