Specific Skills
The minimum education requirement for appointment to this position is a Ph.D. in applied mathematics or a closely related area. Candidates nearing completion of the degree may be considered; however, all requirement must be met no later than August 21, 2019. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of successful universitylevel teaching experience in Mathematics, including the ability or willingness to teach upper division classes; success or potential for conducting scholarly research or grant development in applied mathematics; and a strong interest in working with undergraduates. Preference will be given to candidates who have postdoctoral experience or who have an established research program and whose research interests complement those of our faculty, who have demonstrated success or potential to contribute to our undergraduate research program, or who have experience with curriculum development in applied mathematics.
