A Ph.D. or equivalent in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a closelyrelated field from an accredited institution is required; however, applicants nearing completion of the doctorate ABD may be considered. For appointment, the doctorate must be completed by the date of appointment. Other minimum qualifications include 1 A record of or potential for scholarly publication in healthcare management;2 A record of or potential for successful teaching in healthcare management at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and; 3 ability to demonstrate a commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students in a multiculturalmultiethnic urban campus environment with a substantial population of firstgeneration students. Preferred Qualifications 1 Ability to teach at least two different healthcare management courses;2 A record of or strong potential for successfully advising, mentoring, and conducting research projects with students;3 Healthcare industry experience; and 4 Ability to teach and conduct publishable research in other areas of management.
