Quick summary: I have been working on H1B since 2011 and have I-140 approved (2014). Work at an established software startup in SF,
no consulting or services involved.
Visa Timeline:
Feb 3rd: Submitted Docs and passport for dropbox H1B Visa
Feb 8th: Received passport with White slip to appear for an interview
Feb 10th: Appeared for an Interview and fingerprinting. General questions regarding my work, location, salary and job duties. Officer gave me 221g Yellow slip to submit docs via email I129 and project/job description.
Feb 13: Submitted documents (Documents asked: I 129 petition, LCA, & project description, company info with product details). CEAC status says "Administrative Processing"
Mar 5: CEAC status changed to "Refused" in relation to changes done by govt to streamline applications
No updates so far from Mumbai consulate and no responses from the email helpline.
Would really appreciate if anyone in similar situation can provide updates esp. during COVID19 lockdown
