27th December 2022 - Change in "case last updated" but still showing refused
28th December 2022 - Passport delivered with 221(g) requesting to appear for an interview at the Chennai consulate on 19th January 2023
19th January 2023 - Short, pleasant interview about research. Given 221(g) pink slip asking for documents. VO kept passport.
19th January 2023 - Submitted CV, research summary, list of publications, etc. Received auto response.
9th February 2023 (21 calendar days) - Case approved
10th February 2023 - Visa issued
11th February 2023 - Passport with visa delivered
