US Visa Application Procedure
All the applicants for U.S. nonimmigrant visa (except for the ones that qualify for U.S. Visa Interview Waiver) must appear for the interview at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate.

The following steps describe the U.S. Visa application procedure for many countries around the world:
  1. Application Form

    Fill DS-160 form, a standard U.S. nonimmigrant visa form.

    Print the DS-160 confirmation page that has CEAC barcode on it.

  2. Create Profile

    Create profile and perform the steps to schedule an appointment, until you see payment confirmation screen.

  3. Visa Fees

    Pay the Application Fee using various payment options available that vary by the country in which you are applying.

  7. Visa Issuance
    If your visa is approved, it will be sent by the courier to the passport/visa collection location you specified at the time of taking an appointment and later at any time before the day of the interview. You will have to appear there in person to collect it.
