Notes: I spent 2 1/2 years in US and went back to India and got into some issues while stamping for new employer I changed while I was in US. I waited for one year and new company applied for transfer and came back to US after 1 1/2 years stay in India.

I spoke with a friend and came to know if I spend more than one year outside US my H1B term starts from zero again (I have six years after I came back to US from India after staying for 1 1/2 years.) New company transferred my visa and not a cap visa (from lottery).

I searched but couldn't find any case like this. I might be stupid asking but just wanted to confirm.
