Document Submission Procedure for Applications Pending Under 221(g)
If your U.S. visa case is pending under 221(g), and you are instructed to submit the documents when they are available or maximum within one year, please follow this procedure to submit the documents through any of the Visa Application Centers.
  • Document Submission Letter. Complete the check list manually.

Please note that as of writing this on September 27, 2012, the 221(G) submission letter actually points to 'Requested Immigrant Visa Documentation Submission' which does not seem right. Hopefully, this would be fixed soon.

  • Collect the following documents:
    • Document Submission Letter

    • Original 221(G) letter

    • All required documents suggested by the U.S. Embassy/Consulate.

    • An authority letter from you in case a representative is visiting the visa application center for submission of your documents.

  • Visit visa application center and drop-off your documents.

  • Team Stanley will acknowledge the 221(g) submission slip for you to keep for your records and they will deliver your documents the U.S. Embassy/Consulate.

  • When the U.S. Embassy/Consulate makes the decision, Team Stanley will return your documents and your passport to you at your chosen document delivery pick up location.

If your visa has been approved, your passport will contain that visa.

Alternatively, you may receive a new 221(g) letter, in which case you will have to repeat the process as described above.
