3. what are they?

that's it. they wished them and informed that they got 10yr visa. passport yet to come.

Thanks to Immihelp.com - Got B1 Visa for Father + Sister.
I wanted to thank Immihelp.com for all theri advise and help. I was desperate to get my father (70 Yr) after the Visitors visa was denied 2 times. I followed Immihelp.com advise and took all the tips 'specially honesty' and it worked. I tried to sponsor my father, sister (married, 38 Yrs have childern, govt servant) and brother (single, 28 Years and Dentist). The reason for visit I gave was 'To attend my graduation ceremony - Masters Degree'. The officer did not question my Father much: asked him why he wants to go to US and for how long, then he qustioned my sister about job, children, property and reasons for visit and then spent quite some time to scrutinize the documents; for my brother he outrightly denied saying you are potential immigrant in US. He gave 10 years visa for my father and sister. Thanks to immihelp.com.

got visitor visa
Hi,

On 06.11.07 in Kolkata,my husband and me got visitors visa for 10yrs with multiple entry to attend the graduation ceremony of my elder daughter.my younger daughter, who is the student of MBBS,3rd sem has also got visitors visa for 1 yr with multiple entry.

I am really very thankful to the site www.immihelp.com for its help.In this site evrything has been written in details, along with samples.it helped me a lot andsimplify my visa proecdure.

At the american center, evrything went very smoothly without any hassels.we were cery comfortable. The visa officers are very experiencedand know their job.By taking look at the application letter and forms, they clearly undersatnd every applicants intention. they ask some question to examine whether we are truthful or not.My suggetion would be that while preparing the appointment letter, you should show your strong ties to your country by giving details of your family here and any immivable assest and always be truthful.

Once again i want to thank immihelp.

Hi all, I am so happy to inform that my mom got 10 yrs multiple entry visa. Her appt was in tamil on 31st oct at 8 AM. she reached the consulate at 6.45 itself..she did not go to queue thinking that they will allow her only after 7.30. But the security called her and asked her to go inside..they took her docs and asked her to wait in queue..when her turn came, the VO started talking to her in english, she immediately said she has tamil appointment and does not know english well..interpreter came and stood by her..VO asked
1)how many children do u have
2) who are all in US ( both me and my bro are here)
3) so u don't have anyone in india
Mom said no my husband and mother in law are here
4) Have you been to US before
Yes (my mom got just 6 months visa last time)
5) tell me the dates of ur stay
6) who is sponsoring u - daughter
7) where does she work
8) what is her salary
9) do u know what type of visa u r applying for
mom said tourist visa
10) why do u want to go to us
mom said to visit my daughter and son and go to places
11) how long u want to go
max 3 months as i have my husband here
12) do u know ur daughter's city name and state
she said
The VO appreciated her for remembering and answering everything with a little english in between eventhough she had tamil appoinment. ( my mom is only 10th std but she learned a little english from us :-)

At the end, the VO said u r granted visa and u will get passport in courier. My mom then asked can u tell me how long u have given me visa.the vo smiled and said 10 yrs..and then she came out..the whole process took only 1.5 hrs..amazing..

Successfully got Visitor Visa (10 yrs)
Hi All,

I had sponsored visitor visa for my mother-in-law. Sucessfully she got her visa, interview held at chennai.
On the same day there were many rejections due to insuffcient documents, we were really anxious whether she will be thru with her visa or not.
Because of immihelp and there excellent guidance we could able to make it up. officer did ask few questions like

1) what is your Husband doing?
2) How many childrens you have?
3) what is your son-in-law doing?
4) who is there to take care of your husband if you are travelling?

these are the questions asked. officer said you will get your passport by 2 days, she got 10 years multiple entry visa, immihelp forum helped me in preparing the questions which are asked during interview.

Wish you all good luck...

Regards
Jagan.

Parents got 10 yr Multiple Entry visa (Self-sponsor)
Hi All,

My parents got their visa the the Chennai consulate. Their experience was good, though not completely smooth.

They were at the consulate early and joined the queue. Once inside, someone at the desk checked their photos and said my Dad's photo needs to be retaken, so they had to take an auto and go to a photo studio where they were charged Rs. 400 for 2 photos!

Anyway, they were anxious to get back the the consulate and the interview. At the interview counter, they gave their passports/forms.
VO: Why do you want to go the US
Dad: To visit my daughter

VO: How many children do you have
Dad: Three children, two in US and one unmarried son here in India
VO: What visa is your daughter on?
Dad: She is on H1. He also showed my employment letter

VO: Do you own the house you live in
Dad: Yes
At this time, my parents were told that their visa has been granted.
Though they were sponsoring themselves, I sent all my documents also, like paystubs, employment letter, passport copy etc. They were also carrying with them their bank passbooks, property papers, tax returns etc.

I had coached my parents well with the all the questions from other's experiences here on immihelp and it helped tremendously. I had also explained to my parents the meaning of the forms and told them to show proof of whatever they were saying with the right documents and it helped.

Rejected in Delhi--No Passport Copy
Mother-in-law had an appointment last week. The office told her she would have had a visa, except that she didn't have copies of her U.S. sponsors' passports (son & wife).
