B2 visa denied for my family members
The last posting was divided into two parts. Now I have consolidated those into one and posted below:

I and my husband are US Citizens and residing in CA. My mother & brother (married), are in India and have a valid 10 yr B1/B2 visa. They visited us in 2011. Now again after a long gap, we wanted my brother and his family to visit us for a short duration (two or three weeks) during Christmas holidays 2019, we sent them an invite letter and suggested to apply for B2 visa for his family which includes his wife and two kids, that is they are my sister in law, nephew and niece. My nephew is a second year college student in Bangalore and my niece is a minor (14 yrs) and goes to school. So they were called for visa interview at Chennai consulate. My brother who already has a visa did not accompany them. Initially, while filling out the application forms for each one of them, it was mentioned that their intended arrival date in USA would be Sept 23. But later travel plans were changed to December, after we sent the invite. However, this change of plan was not corrected in the application form. Now during visa interview, the officer questioned them on many topics including their intended travel date. Along with their replies, they mentioned their intended visit to US would be during Christmas 2019. The officer never asked for any docs, which they were already carrying. And after the interview concluded, the officer said, your visa cannot be given and was refused on terms of 214 b. So what do you suggest on this? Is it a matter of concern that travel date correction should have been done earlier in the application form or?? Can they again go for a second interview in Oct/ Nov with the right travel date for visit during Christmas or is it too early to reapply again? I heard that at least a six month gap is required for reapplying, is it true? Any advise/ suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you, Sangita

Document
What are the document that needs to be provided to the VO once our token i called for?
My son-in law is sponsoring for my travel. He is on L1A.

I see in many site the list of documents, but officially what is to be presented and what will be asked to be produced if required.

1.Letter to VO from sponsor
2.Invitation letter from sponsor
3.Will the VO ask for the sponsor documents related to 1797, payslip, stmt, ... or should i present it ahead?
4.Document Proof for my return back to India - Property document, bank stmt, family photo of my other children in India .
Can someone guide on this and share their experience.

Thanks in advance

Parents B2 visa
I'm on L2 EAD and my spouse is on L1A and sponsoring for my parents visa. We had visited India for 3 weeks during July 2019. My parents interview is scheduled for 9 Sept. My parents are 74 and 65 years.
Purpose of their visit is to meet their grandson and spend time with family, and for tourism.
As we have already traveled this year to India, would it cause a problem for getting there visa?

B2 TOURIST VISA UPDATE
Hi,

I had my visa interview today. Hardly, two minutes, very straightforward questions. Didn't ask for any documsnts at all. At the end , the VO told "Congratulations! Your Visa is approved. Have a Happy Trip"

Thanks to this forum for clearing my doubts.

Speaking of doubts, I just tracked my visa status and it shows:"Administrative processing".

Is this normal ? or will they be reviewing it again for any reason?

Would be helpful to get some insights on this.

Thank You.

Sponsoring my Mom - Need help
Hello,

I am in USA on student visa. My mom is 60+ and she was denied twice. (Do not know why. My dad is in India and my mom is coming all alone. No chance she will not go back) I am trying to call her this time but I am in a dilemma as to what to do. Since I am on my F1, I thought of asking my cousin to sponsor her. (To show strong financial backing) I am just confused that last 2 times we did not mention about him. If all of a sudden he will sponsor her, would it be a problem?,

Please guide me
Thank You
