H1b Approved @ Chennai
Hi all,

My visa got approved in Chennai on 23rd November. I had one of the most pleasent visa experiences.

I work for a big US company which has around 12,000 emplpyees. I work for them directly. I did my MS in US and I joined them for a intern position. They were very satisfied with my performance and gave me a full time with H1b sponsorship and even Green Card Processsing. My H1b was applied on April 1st in normal processing and mine got approved in just 1 week.

My interview was at 9.15 AM but I went there around 7.30 itself. I was called inside at around 8.30 AM. After checking my appointment letter, they allowed me inside and did the checking and gave me the token number. Once inside, I sat there and was waiting for my token number to get displayed. In another 15 minutes my number got displayed and I was alloted a counter. I stood in the counter and when my turn came, the person asked my I-129, LCA, Passport, I797 and my interview and appointment letter. He placed all in a green folder and gave them to me. After that I had to again wait in a queue to give my finger printing and it took around 15 minutes. Once this was then, I was sent to the next building where the main interview takes place. I went there and waiting for aroung 5 minutes and my token number got displayed and my counter was alloted. I went and stood in the counter line. Before me there was one guy who was giving his H1b interview. The VO was a lady and she was cool. As long as we had all the necessary documents and good amount of proof she was approving the visas. That person was questioned for around 10 minutes and the visa got approved. Next one was a family and they had come to renew their visa. Theirs too was approved. Now it was my turn

VO: Good morning. How are you doing
Me: Good morning to you too. I am doing good. How about you?
VO: I am good. Thank you.
VO: So you have come for H1b?
Me: Yes Ma'am.
Vo: So have you worked in US before?
Me: Yes. in OPT
VO: Do you have your pay slips?
Me: Yes. I have my last 12 month pay slip.
VO: oh great.

VO was looking into that for seconds and then she gave me a good smile

VO: Your visa is approved and you will get your passport in a week at max
Me: Thank you Ma'am. Have a great thanksgiving!!
VO: Thank you(WIth a big smile). You have a great time in US and enjoy your work

I left the building and came out with a big relief and I met my parents and gave them the good news and my next step was to the Temple to thank God.

Guys, always be confident and be brave. Dress well and look clean and fresh. Everything will go well as long as you have put in the effort for that.

All the best for everyone out here.

H1B Hyd Approved--BEP Company
So, after a long wait i had my visa interview today at Hyderabad,

I was really tensed though i prepared well for the interview.

Ok now after normal documentation and the finger printing Procedures, i have taken the token and here goes my interview,

ME: Good Morning Officer
VO: Good Morning
VO: Who is your client?
ME: Answered
VO: Which location are you travelling to?
ME: Answered
VO: What are your roles?
ME:I was puzzled by this question and started telling about my roles and responsibilities… VO stopped me in between and asked me the next Question.
VO: Who is your manager?
ME: Answered
VO: Did you read the white pamphlet
ME: Yes.
VO: (Now the Golden Words)…. Your Visa is approved you will receive in a week.

Now let me tell you, my mind was completely blank, because of tension, but by God’s Grace and as my Case was genuine, everything went well.

Last but not the least, Thanks to Immihelp for bringing our experiences together and thanks to all who were posting their experiences,
that was really help full for me to prepare.

H1- H4 Visa 221(g)
Hi,

I went to New Delhi for visa stamping on Nov. 22 for my h1 and my wife's
H4 visa.

Visa officer asked several common questions on employer.
Here are the questions they asked:

- Who is your current employer?
- When did you join the company?
- Where is it located in US?
- Why did you transfer your visa from your old company to this company?
- What is specific reason?
- What is your annual salary?
- Who is the client?
- What is your work location?
- What is the strength of your company?
- Give me all the documents you have for your company?

Then i gave all the documents like I-129,LCA,Client letter, Employer
verification letter, Purchase order, Letter from employer to USCIS.

Then he carefully show all the documents ,
then he asked my previous tax returns, i gave him all the documents and
he show it and return to me.

Then he wrote down some thing in the system and pick up the green slip and
tick marked last option "Others" and wrote down that "We are reviewing your Case".

He kept our(me and my wife's) passport, our current original i-797 and rest of the documents
of my employer like copy of I-129,copy of LCA,Client letter, Employer
verification letter, Purchase order, Letter from employer to USCIS.

I asked VO that in how many days i will receive the passport and original i-797 and he
replied that "We are reviewing your case" and you can check status on VFS web site , however
that does not going to help you as it will say that "your case is pending" but "you will
receive your passport by courier".
I again asked him, in how many days? he said that "your case is under review".

Can some body has same experience like kept all the documents and original passport also?

In how many days i will receive the passport after stamping?

What are the chances of rejection /acceptance /holding the case?

Pls. share the experience.

Thanks a lot.
