L1B visa individual
Hi All,

I attended L1b individual visa appointment at Chennai. Do take care of these things.
1. Do not lean on the slab.
2. Wait for your turn.
3. Wish them courteously. Very good afternoon/good morning.
4. Do not chit chat when in line. VO will be looking for all that too, your behavior.
5. Keep a transparent file which they will allow you to take it inside the consulate and go through all the documents beforehand so that you can easily provide when asked.
4. VO asked me a. wat is your experience in the current organization. b. Wat do you do in your current role. c. Wat duties you will perform in US.
Most importantly you should mention that you will return to your home country once your work is done since L1b is an non immigrant temporary visa. Take care not to over answer yourself. Be specific to wat questions been asked.
Go through Immihelp.com, it is very useful forum.
All the best guys.

L1 Blanket rejected
Hello,

I attended my L1 blanket interview on Apr 8th. Following are the questions that were asked.

1) Who is your client?
2) What are you going to do in US?
3) What will be your responsibilities there?
4) What is your specialization?

After I answered these questions, she gave me a blue slip which stated that my applicaton has been rejected. Reason : 'Not clearly approvable'.

Main thing : Speak confidently. Maintain eye contact throughout the conversation and make sure you look relaxed and smiling.

L1 & L2 Interview - Delhi
Hi,

My interview was scheduled for today 8 April 2011, at 9.30 am. I reached US embassy around 9.15 am. After initial formalities I was asked to deposit check for blanket visa but I was surprised to see that cashier was not available on his seat. He turned up after 45 mins meanwhile I also finished biometric requirements for me and my spouse. Then came the personal Interview, I was asked to join a queue which already had 2 people in front of me. To be honest I had read my petition only once before that and did not get time to prepare the answers for the commonly asked questions. So finally came my turn after two rejections.

VO: Give me your papers.
Me: Good Morning Ma'am. Handed over my Papers
Vo: Good Morning
My Spouse: Good Morning
VO: Good Morning.
VO: Why are you going to US.
Me: I am working for xxx client on xxx project..
VO : Which Company ?
ME: IBM India pvt Ltd.
VO: What ?
ME: IBM
VO :IBM ?
ME: Yes Ma'am
VO: What is your specilaization ?
Me: I thought for a sec and started telling her about what I do without even thinking if that really answers her question. She started writing on my petition and stamped and passed it to me. I didn't even looked at papers.
VO: Enough. For how long you will be there ?
Me: xxxx
VO: Is spouse working ?
Me: Yes Ma'am she is a teacher
VO: (To my wife) Which Subject ?
My Spouse: Mathematics
VO: Smiled. You Visa is approved. You would get your passport in a week's time. I finally looked at I129 those were passed on earlier. They were approved. I thanked her and left. Either it is very easy or I was just lucky, but I am sure preparation is not necessary at all.

L1 B Rejected
Hi,
My L1B visa was rejected. The VO asked me the following questions:
1) Your specialized skill?
2) How long you have been with the client?
3) How do you consider yourself expert if you have been the client for less than a year.

Then he simply mentioned the mismatch between my degree and my work profile.
was not ready to listen anything further and wrote 'Not clearly approvable'.
