Am under AOS, any issues with parents B2 visa ?
I am currently under AOS in US. My i-94 has expired and the visa stamp has also expired.

My parents are under process of applying for B2 visitor visa for themselves.

They are doing self sponsorship. If they are being asked for my visa or i-94 copies, will the expired copies create issues for their b2 visa ?

What documents should I send them ? -485 receipt & EAD card copies ?

B1/B2 interview experience
I had a B1/B2 US visa interview yesterday and this is how it went:

I am a female and single.

VO : What are you doing in the US?
A : For tourism purpose only. We wanna do sightseeing in New York, Washington DC and New Jersey
VO : Who are you travelling with?
A : My bestfriend and travel buddy. She’s having an interview also at the next window.
VO : How many years are you in Dubai?
A : 15 years
VO : Where do you work?
A : Answer.
VO : Did you travel before?
A : Answered ( Been to Europe 1 time , some countries that requires visa , and some Asian countries that are visa free
VO : How much is your monthly salary?
A : Answer.
VO : Do you have a loan?
A : Yes.
VO : With this monthly salary, how can you travel?
A : I have a credit card ( I cannot answer I have savings in my account as I really don’t have!)
VO : Do you have your bank statement? Can I see it?
A : Given the bank statement and credit card statement
VO : Looking thoroughly, and return to me after. Do you have relatives in the states?
A : None
VO : Are you married? Do you have kids?
A : Answer no and none for both questions.
VO : Do you have a relative here?
A : Have a sister here.
VO : She was looking at me while taking the paper from her side. She handed over a pink paper without saying anything.
A : I was really shocked and just said “Thank you so much Maam”

I wasn’t expecting that I’ll be issued a visa coz of my salary but I think I was really lucky that day.
Advise : Always be honest in answering all the questions. They can figure it out if you are lying as the VO is looking at my face and eyes the whole time she was asking me questions.

Incorrect Date of Birth
Hi all,

Firstly, I want to thank the forum for amazing community to help each other out.

I have a concern with the visitor visa application for my mother-in-law. My mother-in-law had her date of birth incorrect on her old passport. It was the fault of the passport office in Delhi. However, her US Visitor VISA was approved and it has the same incorrect date of birth on the stamped VISA.

Her passport expired this year and they applied for a new passport and this time the passport has the correct date of birth. The US visitor visa is also expiring in 2 months and we want to apply for the renewal of her US visitor visa.

My concern is that whether the US visitor visa will be denied because they realize that the date of birth on both, the old passport (expired) and the old visa (not yet expired but will be in 2 months) is incorrect and now we are submitting visa renewal with a different date of birth on the new passport and DS-160 form.

We have all the supporting documents to show that her date of birth on new passport is correct (school leaving certificate, Aadhar card, PAN card etc.). We also have an affidavit saying that her date of birth in the new passport is the correct one. We also have the passport application form which we filled 10 years back, and the date of birth written there is correct and it was really the mistake of Indian passport office.

Do you think they will deny her visa? And should we proactively tell the Visa Application Center (where they will submit their documents) that the old passport and old visa had wrong date of birth? They qualify for the interview waiver so please let me know what steps I should take so that their visa is granted.

Any suggestions, tips would be very much appreciated!

I hope everyone finds success in their visa journey to the US!
