Curry Kebob Patchogue, AVOID AT ALL COSTS, Terrible food
It is unbelievable how quickly a great food place can become a dog house. It seems the place is under new management (again). Not only did the original chef leave, the guy he trained who did a good job for a long time also left the newest owners. So it seems the new owner is learning on the job and doing a terrible job.

We went there again recently and had a lousy experience. Everything tasted bad or boring. Most stuff seemed heated in a microwave. The naans were clumps of aatta. The seekh kabaabs were so broken and burnt you had to ask what they brought you.

The vegetable turned out to be FROZEN FOOD that you can buy at Indian stores and microwave at home. I saw the cook throw the packaging into the garbage can and recognized it as something my wife has bought from a store. So much for authentic cooking. It is FRAUD to take frozen foods and microwave and sell as authentic. Be careful what you order.

The service was horrible but the food was the biggest letdown. Used to be a great place but now definitely a place to avoid at all costs. And, don't risk going into the men's room if you care about your health.

Mayuri at Redmond
Food is a good mix of North/ south Indian with a bit of chinese flavor thrown in for good measure. Service is lousy though.
If you were out celebrating a special occassion and wanted a good ambience, certainly avoid this place; I would recommend Chutney's at Bellevue downtown area for this.

The waiters and the guy at the cash register always give you the impression that they'd rather be doing something else than serving you. Most of the times they are loudly conversing with each other in a corner.
Once at a table next to ours, a lady was served with naan with extra butter when she specifically asked for it without! Well, that's not such a bad thing to do right? but it was the attitude of the staff that was appalling; rather than apolgize and get her a fresh piece of bread; they rather happily (like it was a big joke) offered her a napkin to mop up the butter and told her 'otherwise we have to make a fresh one for you'!!
Is that lousy customer service or what??

go here for okay food; but take your special occassions elsewhere.

Horrible Service at Minerva, FairFax, VA !!!!!!
It is ONE of the horrible service I ever had in the US in my 15 years experience at MINERVA, Fairfax VA. Those guys are really arrogant. Even though the food is not that bad, I dont want to go there again because of their worst behavior.

Am not sure about their services at other branches in Herndon, Chantilly etc...

Please think before you go to the Fairfax one....

Curry Club, Setauket.
For all those living in Long Island NY; here's a wonderful restaurant. Curry Club is very conveniently located from Stonybrook university and has the best Indian food I ever tasted.
Also good is their lunch buffet (the all you can eat types).
The service and ambience is really good and its a good place for a special occasion. Their collection of wines is also better than most average Indian restaurants!

Curry Kebob Patchogue super food low price, U MUST TRY IT
Not too many great Indian or Pakistani places to eat in this part of the world like Southampton New York. It was totally great to run into an old freind who told me about this place on Route 112 in Patchogue called Currey Kebob (or Curry Kebab?). My family was at Home Depot one day and stopped at this place for dinner and had the most awesome Indian food ever. We tried different thing but the Nihari was totally authentic and perfect. My wife had the Bihari kebob which we ended up ordering an extra helping to take home with us. Other stuff we loved was the chicken tika masala and the chicken karahi. The whole dinner for 4 with soft drinks cost us less than $50 and we brought the great leftovers home with us. It is a bit far for me to go for lunch from work but they are said to have a great eat all you can lunch buffet for less than $7. Can't beat that in price and quality.

Worst Service
'Minerva' in Virginia, They have three outlets in Virginia. The 'worst' is not the word to describe their service. Food is not bad though. If you are just looking for food and do not worry about service, just proceed. But be prepared for a poor service

Curry Kebob, Pathchogue, NY
Here is one pace to definitely avoid! The name is misleading and might fool one to believe it is part of the 'Curry Club/Cafe' chain (that offers an excellent menu by the way) to be found on Long Island....
An order of Palak Paneer turns up with chunks of swiss cheese in it instead of Paneer! Water is served out of dirty looking plastic pitchers and if your order a pitcher of coke, most likely it will be flat!!
The meat dishes too are a joke...if you were to order a kofta, you'd get a humongous ball of keema thunked on your table...the naans are almost stale and thick chunky ones (like the ones you would see being served to refugees in Afghani camps)...
Definitely avoid at all costs!

If you are looking for a good place to eat Indian food on Long Island, try India house, RangMahal or Saffron at Hicksville...
