Hi, My wife applied for her L2 EAD and USCIS received it on Jun05 2019. As of today it has crossed 100 days.Is there any one who received the card recently? Last year my wife' L2 EAD was approved with in 87 days and before 95 days she received the card. I went for my visa extension and approved recently, so I applied for her EAD again since its expired while I was working on my visa extension. This year things are pretty much late. Could anyone please share their experience about L2 EAD this year from Vermont SC?

Thanks!

Hi, I have received my EAD renewal receipt date as 04/08/2019 from Vermont Service center.
I have created an expedite request on 06/07/2019, which was rejected as the category was a18 and not eligible for expedite request.
I have created case outside processing request on 09/06/2019 since its beyond 150 days.
Is anyone with similar issues, anything that we can do get EAD ?

I filed for my EAD in February 2nd this year, received my I-797 Notice of Action to say it has been approved on June 1st. Waited 2 months, no card arrived. Called immigration and was told my EAD was sent out, but that USPS returned it to immigration as undeliverable (not sure why?). I then put in a service request to get it resent, they notified me it would take another 45 days. I waited. It still hadn't arrived after 63 days.

This was a renewal EAD, and never experienced this any kind of delay like this when I applied for the first time in 2016. Which only took 3 months from application to receiving card.

So I just called immigration yesterday (October 15, 2018) to get an update. They've told me all they can do is log yet another service request to get it resent, which will take up to 30 days to process, and then it will take up to 45 days to be sent out again.

I'm nervous, I could be waiting until 75 days only to find out they haven't sent it again.

I can't understand how I can be approved to work in June, 2018, but am still unable to work because I have not received my EAD card, and its now mid October, after filing on Feb 2nd.

Losing my mind, and so desperate to be able to start working, so any help or advice on what action I can take to get this fast-tracked would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all,

I am the wife of an L1 visa holder. I am an L2 applying for EAD renewal.

Sharing my experience on here to give hope to some.
This is my 5th EAD process over the 4.5 years I have lived here in the USA. All previous times have been stressful but always within processing time. My current EAD expires Sept 25th. Here is my timeline--

6/14 PD filed @ Texas
9/17 Raised SR Stating Severe Financial Loss
9/18 SR Denied (via email - this denial came from Vermont, not sure if my case was moved there or this is where all SR are looked in to?)
9/20 Notification of Card Being Processed

So now I am just waiting for my card to arrive in my mailbox. Guys, I was so stressed about not getting the EAD in time. I am employed by a big corporation here in America. We were making arrangements for me to go back to England and work from there whilst waiting for the EAD to come through. Earlier this week I even booked my flight to return home to the UK to continue working (now that's a waste!). Please explore this option with your employer whilst you wait. My employer did not suggest this option, I did, and they liaised with their legal counsel and found out this was a fine way to proceed.

I would advise all to make sure you have filed everything meticulously to avoid RFE and raise SR as soon as you're at 90 days. I got denied officially but then a few days later I got notified card was being processed so maybe SR drew attention to my case. On the phone when raising the SR I was very polite, made sure I expressed my worry and was very thankful and complimentary to the man at the help centre. I feel extremely lucky and wish you all good luck!

I will update when I have card in hand.

I have applied for EAD renewal within 180 days from the current EAD expiry date. I have received the new EAD card today and surprisingly the new Renewed Card valid from last week with expiry date in 3 months(first week of aug). In fact the old card spicy date is until aug end. Our Visa is valid until year end. Not sure why the renewed card expiry date is less than the existing one and how do we need to handle this case? Can someone please guide/ advise on how to Proceed on this?

So finally, after submitting my wife's EAD renewal back at the very end of October, my wife's EAD Renewal was renewed. Today she received the Renewal notice in the mail, with the card to set to be mailed this week.

Just for reference, her timeline looked like so:

Oct 19th 2017 - I-765 Renewal mailed to CSC
Oct 25th 2017 - Application Received by CSC
Oct 30th 2017 - Receipt Notice received
Jan 24th 2017 - First SR raised online
Jan 27th 2017 - SR answered - within normal processing time
Feb 8th 2017 - Notice received that case was transferred to new office (Vermont)
Feb 20th 2017 - Request Raised with Ombudsman for information on case
March 3rd 2017 - Ombudsman accepted request and reached out USCIS for information
March 14th 2017 - Ombudsman makes 2nd request to USCIS for information related to case
March 19th 2017 - Renewal approval notice arrive via mail.

So it took 5 months to the exact day for my wife to receive her renewal notice. It's absolutely insane to think that processing times have now pushed out that far, just relieved that she can now no longer worry regarding her status. We don't look forward to going through all this again when i renew my E3 visa at the end of the year.

Good luck to you all & i hope you receive your EAD's in the mail shortly!

I applied for my wife's EAD on Dec 6, 2017, after my H1B extension upon getting approved I-140. I completed I-765 on my own without lawyer's assistance. (My company lawyer quoted \$1200 for this. I only paid USCIS fees of around \$400). I sent completed documents to Nebraska center (since Michigan falls under Nebraska jurisdiction as per I-765 instructions) on Dec 6 and receipt was sent on Dec 12, 2017. However, receipt number was starting with EAC meaning it was sent to Vermont.

We received approval notice on March 17, 2018, and EAD card on March 19, 2018. Processing time as per on USCIS site was more than 115 days for Vermont. (As of Jan 31, 2018, they were processing Oct 9, 2017, applications). So I was expecting a response by the first week of April. I was expecting an RFE or denial since I sent wrong I-797 for H1B principal's spouse. (or at least I felt it was a wrong one). I realized it just after mailing it but did not find any way to notify USCIS or send an updated document. I could only notify address change.

I thought of sending an inquiry yesterday. But to my surprise saw an approval notice from USCIS in my mailbox on March 17. I guess USCIS did not send RFE to notice because either I only thought I sent wrong I-797 but sent correct one (I have two I-797, one for approved I-140 and another for H1B extension based on approved I-140. I sent the second one.) or USCIS had the records with them and did not need me resend another I-797.
