My husband is on L-1 and filed i-485 already. I received my EAD card right before my F-1 expired (2 years ago). I filed my I-485 the same time as my husband, it is in pending. Now I am holding only EAD without any kind of visas and currently working in an US company.
QUESTION 1) ----- Is it necessary to apply for L-2 visa to mantain my legal status? (Am I illegal now cuz I have no visas only EAD card)?
EAD card has to be renewed every year. My first EAD card expired on Sept. 2004, I late renewal the 2nd one, received it about 2 months late (Dec. 2004). But I was still working at the company during Sept-Dec. without EAD.
