ME: business meeting on ... & there will be technical discussion on ...
VO: which company do u work for?
ME: answered
VO: how long you have been working with this company?
ME: 2 years & 1 month
VO: how long will you stay in USA?
ME: (did not get that clearly) Sorry?
VO: (again) how long will you stay in USA?
ME: (I thought he asked me 'how long you stayed in USA before?'. He was not loud & not talking over microphone so couldn't hear him clearly) I have never been to USA before
VO: no, How long WILL you be? FUTURE
ME: oh! 3 weeks
VO: Your visa is approved
ME: thank you very much.
I was wearing formal & was prepared for general questions which were posted on this forum.
Advice: Just give a big smile to VO officer when you walk towords the window & greet him well. Be confident.
Rest depends on your luck. One very important thing is the reason you are going for matters a lot.
For b1 they have some basic criteria to judge a person. For e.g. you sohuld have a good reason to go, how long you are working with current company, annual income, family attachment etc.
