Cell phone usage between US and Canada

I am Canadian PR and also working on H1B. I moved from Canada to US on H1B. I have Canadian cell phone plan which is really costly when I am using in US. My all Canada bank & Govt. accounts are using Canadian phone number and because of this i am keeping my Canada number since couple of months but it is really costly. I am looking for options, what is best way to have cell phone plan which can reduce the bill as well as I can operate all US and canada bank accounts and Govt. account on one phone number . Please share your experience if anyone are in same situation. Thank you.
