Cleared the Visa Interview
Hi All,
Thanks a lot for sharing your experience which helped me a ton. Here i too got a chance to share my experience, as i got visa on 29th July.
My Interview was at 9:30 am in the morning, i went there by 8:00 itself. i joined the long queue outside the US Consulate Chennai office.
Then we were allowed to enter the office, first they verified the passport and and allowed in. Security checkup was done, and all our doucments will be verified by the officer next to the security department where they will take our finger impressions. once it is completed, i was directoed towards the visa interview building, there i waited for my turn. my turn has come and these are the questions which i faced in the interview,

Me: Good morning
Interviewer: Good morning

1.Q. What you will do in US?

 A. We are getting a new project Private client Group Under Corporate reporting user interface system project which is a part of commercial insurance of AIG.

2. Q. The interviewer stopped and interrupted me and said , "I didn't hear anything as I. I asked what you will do in US."

 A. We have to populate the data for the new profit center PCG.

3. Q. Officer again interrupted and said, " Till now everything I heard is We only. What you will be doing there?"

 A. Now I understood his intention and I replied as " I have to prepare the new job setup as well as alter the existing job set up to populate the data for new profit center in CRUIS front end. Then I have to load the tables and test it and then confirmation has to be good from the users of PCG whether the loaded data is correct or not.

4. Q. What is your education?

A. B.E in Electronics and Communication Engineering

5. Q. How long you are with this client?

A. Three years.

Suggestions:

When the officer asks what you will do in US reply everything as I will be doing this, that etc. They don' want the history as We are getting a new project and then telling what you will do in that is not correct. Directly you can tell what you will be doing.
Speak directly by looking into the eyes of the officer. Say good morning and while leaving back just say have a good day to them.
