Got L1 B after a long wait
Hi Guys,

I had my L1 Blanket interview in Chennai Consulate on 16th July 2007 at 11.30 am

I reached the consulate around 11.20 am was astonished to see such a huge queue as this is the first time I went to chennai for stamping.
Prior to this I went to Delhi for my B1 stamping but the crowd there was okay..
i stood in the queue for arround 1 hour after that they started calling the people having 11.30 appointment time to come in the front of the queue.
Again stood there for 40 minutes. after that 1 person from consulate came and told us that they are running 2 hrs late from the schedule so we can come back around 1.30 or so. beacuse 4 officers are sick today. and consulate is fully packed with people inside.

So I came back again at 1.30 and stood in the queue. finally 1 person came and allowed all the 11.30 applicants to get in.

Around 8 counters were there where I submitted my all the documents.
Then within 30 mins or so we were allowed to go into the second building where the VO were sitting. there we got our folders back with visa fees reciept.

Again a long queue for finger print. Oh God...I got fed up of all these Q's.
After giving our finger print finally the last queue of the day we were into. The Q for final processing.

again after standng 1 hour in the Q I was finally in front of the VO.
I greeted the VO.

Now come the questions asked by VO.
1. What project u are going to work in US?
:- Explained my project with the details of the clients.

(VO was listening to my answer as well as writing some thing on the docs given by me)

2. How long u have been working with his company?
:- N yrs.

3. How long u have been working with this client?
:=- N months.

Thats it.

After this he said people have to wait here for such a long time for a very little process.

And there he starting returning the extra copies of my docs.
And with that he returned my passport also.

OH GOD I was shocked at that moment.

Then suddenly he said sorry and asked me to give my passport back to him.....

Finally he said you'll get your passport in 5 days.

I really enjoyed that moment.

I only thing which i noticed there thru out the whole process is you need to be cool confident and prepared for all sort of questions related to your work.
And at the end of the day it also depends upon your luck and the mood of VO.

The VO sittind adjacent to my VO was asking to many ques and also rejected few applications.

So go well prepared guys and pray to god that u get a good VO.

Thanks alot to all teh people for posting their exp here as tehy helped me alot to prepare a mindset and expected ques for interview.

Thanks alot and best of luck to all
