Dear All,

Thank you for sharing your experience, it helped me prepare for my visa interview. Keeping with the tradition of immihelp, I am sharing my experience. Hope it helps.

VO: Good Morning (with a measured smile)
Me: Good Morning ma'am

VO: (looks at my passport) So you have travelled to the US?
Me: Yes Ma'am

VO: What Visa?
Me: L1-B

(At this point, she gets down and consults another VO adjacent to her and then gets back to her seat. Not sure what was discussed or if there was a concern)

VO: How long with current company?
Me: 7.5 years now

VO: How many years of management experience?
Me: 3 years

VO: Where would you be going to in the US?
Me: City, State

VO: How many people would report to you?
Me: 20

VO: What would you be doing in the US?
Me: I would be managing multiple projects from 2 portfolios. I will be responsible for the delivery of those projects and managing the employees from my company

VO: Multiple projects, how many are we talking about here?
Me: 3-4
VO: Ok

VO: So tell me something about your project
Me: I gave a 1-2 line desription and then reiterated that my role would be to ensure successful project delivery. I did not think that delving into the technical aspects of a project was relevant for L-1 A

VO: What is your total IT experience?
Me: 7.5 years
VO: Oh OK, so in your current company
Me: Yes ma'am

VO: What is your per annum?
Me: Sorry ma'am I did not get it
VO: (repeats) Per annum, your salary?
Me: In Inidan Rupees?
VO: Yes
Me: 1 million something
VO: (smiles) in US dollars please
Me: 86K
VO: (Lets out a small smile)

At this point she proceeded to pick up her seal, I was more or less certain that she was going to say the golden words.

VO: Ok, your visa is approved, you will get your passport in 5 days
Me: Thank you ma'am
VO: Thank you

Going through Immihelp forums helped a lot. I do not have any word of advice other than saying that reading forum experiences are a great way to prepare for the interview. All the best !
