Hi All,
Thanks everyone who posted their valuable experiences in this site, it really helped me to prepare well and go in the right frame of mind.
My Exp: I had my interview on 5-Jan-2009, 13:30; I reached the consulate well in advance by 12.30, by 13:40 I was inside the building,
At the entrance they check your Passport and Interview letter
After getting inside, there is security check and ask for any closed envelopes/covers, please do not carry any closed envelopes, they do not accept.
After the security check, you enter the main building, where in you are guided to stand in one of the queues at the various counters, here all your VISA documents are checked and then they take your finger prints,( I saw one person was asked to take a new photograph, since the photo (50x50) was not proper, I guess there is a photo studio inside the consulate itself, not sure). After your finger prints are taken, you are asked to go the other building for the VISA interview.
You need stand in the queue, The VFS staff will guide you any of the various counters.
(There are separate counters for interviews in different languages)
My interview:
VO: Hi, How are you doing?
Me: Hi, I am doing well. How about you?
VO: Great.
VO: took finger print again
<Looking into my Documents>
VO: What do you mean by YYYY Product?
Me: I gave him details about the Proprietary Product
VO: What is your role?
Me: explained in 2 sentences
VO: Who is your Client?
Me: informed him about the client
VO: what will you do after this project?
Me: Answered him that we have many projects in pipeline will be moving on to any one of those

That’s it. He said “Your VISA is issued, will be dispatched in 7 days time to your address. Have a great time in US. And have a wonderful new year”
Incidentally, there were no questions to my wife.
Points to be noted:
1. Be confident, keep a pleasant face and have a smile
2. Wear Formals, TIE is recommended
3. Check your documents properly, Carry the documents in transparent polythene
4. Make sure documents are proper and arranged well
5. Make sure that you mention the “Proprietary” tools/products.
6. Wear your company id
All the best!!
