L1-B got stamped on April 14th-2010
Hi Friends...
My L1-B got approved today.
I would like to share some of my Experience .

My Time was 8.15 in the morning.I reached the place on time completed all the basic formalities.

I was entering the danger zone by 8:30, was waiting in the hall for my slot.

Finally the call for the 8:15 batch happened.I stood in the queue waiting for my turn nervously.

I went to a counter where a male VO was questioning people.

I gave him the documents, he was taking a look and after few secounds, questions started raining from him,
1.How long with the company & this project? (Separate Questions)
2:Who was your previous employer & how long with them? (Separate Questions

3: Who is your client? This was not a straight forward question, he asked me like what was the last project that you worked for?

4:What is your current role?-I told him I design Business Intelligence solutions for my client. Also I maintain the application which I create.

5: What is your specialized skill?-Told him abt the project experience and the components that I created in my project.

6:How many people in the team?
  5 People at offshore.

7: Why you among the 5?
I been in the project right from the first day.

8: He stopped me- you being in project from the start are the only thing?-For this I told him abt my exp in the project compared to other assocaites.

9: How many Components you created?

Finally I was thru, and was happy listening to the words that you visa is approved.

It was a good experience, I was refused the same L1-B visa last year, so I prepared my self very hard for this big day.

Suggestions:

1:Do not use the word "We", it should always be I.

2:If you don't understand the question ,instead of assuming please ask the visa officer to repeat the question.

3:Do some mock up session before you go for the PA.

Thanks to this site and to the people who contribute their experience , this is really helpful.

I know how it will be if your visa gets rejected , so please do some extra work before going for your PA.

The consular's are really good, they will defientely wil not reject your visa with out a reason.

All the best!!
