L1 B Visa Interview Experience
Hi All,

I would like to share my interview experience for L1B. I have accompined with my spouse and kid (20 month old boy who is very naughty)

My biometric interview(on 11/29/2012) is as below
--------------------------------------------------
My Interview scheduled at 11.00 AM, and I started from hotel Cresent Park(around 6 km from the OFC where we need to give biometric) by 9.30 AM and reached to OFC by 10 AM.

There was some 50 mtrs legnth queue, but I went front(As I have a kid) and asked the security, but still he said, plz wait in the queue, and I will be called(Because it was 10 AM, so he is allowing only 10 AM and 10.30 AM scheduled members). So, I waited in the queue at starting only(he will allow non-queue members also if you are ontime, so I would suggest not to go in advance of more than 30 min).

My son was not having proper sleep and food, so he started crying. My wife was not able to manage the boy, so I took him, but still he didn't stop crying.

It was around 10.50 A.M, the security person started allowing 11.00 AM batch, so we went inside, Once enter into to the campus, they are checking the Interview confirmation letter and DS-160 and cross verified with their sheet(they have a sheet for batch wise members).

Once I enter into the building, My son stick on to me, he is crying and not going to my wife.

In the reception they will check again Interview confirmation, DS-160 and passports and they will attach some barcode sticker on each passport and give back to you with one token number(Based on this, you will be called).

Remember, My son is in my hands, and still he was crying(now little bit louder).I was bit tensed.

Once I entered to the room, there are multiple counters, One of the OFC employee called me immediately by observing my condition and asked me to go to counter#: 8, So I went to the counter by handing over my son to my wife(some what forcebly, he is still crying). The guy inside the counter asked me for finger print scan, i kept my left hand 4 fingers(except thumb), but the guy gave me a tissue and asked me to clean hand and try again(my hands were swetting, may be because of hot whether and tense), Suddenly the mike was not working in the counter, so he started showing what & how to do. I finished my bio-metric, and my went to the counter and she also finished. But for my kid no scan, but they will check the passport and asked me to keep a photo(as per dimention, it should be same as in DS-160 photo) in the passport when i am going for next day interveiw.

once the bio-metric done, they scanned to the DS-160 on the way to exit.

Once I came out of the building, my son stopped crying :) , I hired an auto to hotel, within 5 min my son slept in the auto(withing 15 min we reached to hotel), after 2 hours he woke up with innocent smile :) as he don't know what happend all the day.

I was more tense about my child, what he will be going to do tomorrow(11/30/2012).

My Second day interview(on 11/30/2012) is as below
--------------------------------------------------

First I wanted to tell about my kid :), we made him to sleep early in last night (around 10 PM, usually he will sleep by 12 in bangalore, we are from bangalore) and wake him up late (around 8 A.M).

My Interview was at 10.00 AM. We started from hotel by 9.00 A.M, and reached there by 9.20. Here also the same kind of queue, after waiting for 15 min, he allowed to go inside, There is some 100 mts pathway where we need to go to main gate, in the path way itself there would be a counter, where you can deposit your bags/mobiles and others if any.

After checking the Interview confirmation letter and DS-160 they allowed inside. Here the campus is good with fresh air and more space.

So once enter to the reception they gave one token, so with the token we went inside and waiting for my token number.

I know what you are expecting me to write.. About my kid right... Here it is

Before entering to the campus, I said to my wife, you should take care of him, don't allow him to come to me.

Now she is not allowing him to come to me, But today he is so energetic(have some idly and 2 glass of milk, and some chocalates) and running here and there by making noise. But my wife managed him not to come to me.

I was waiting for my token(in the disply, the screen is divided into 20% - 80%, in 20% all next in queue numbers will show, in the 80% screen the interview mode sample vidoe is displaying, and in the same part they will be displaying the current token number quick frequently).

So I was carefully watching the 80% screen only for the current number. It was almost 30 min over. Suddenly one employee from the other side came to my side where i sits and shouting, who is token 121, I said, it is me, then he asked me to go counter#: 4, I went there but the guy inside the counter told me that I called you 4
times, but you are not responding, so u need to wait for the MAIN WINDOW( I went to one of the volunteer employee and explained my situation. He told, don't worry, it will come again in few min, so keep observing carefully).

So this time, i was observing the 20% screen where many numbers are displaying, after 10 min, again my number came to different counter, so i went there and submit the required docs(passports, DS-160, Interview appointment letter, some of the Petition papers). she put a band for all given docs in some arrangements and asked me to go counter#: 12 where i need to submit mine and my wife finger prints.

Once that is done, the guy in the counter asked me to go to next building(in the same campus) and submit the DD(which company will give you).

Here one great thing was, my son is very fresh and active :).

So we enter into one more building, and my token number came, so I went to submit the DD to that counter, but my wife sits in the chair(It is a big hall). Once I submit the DD, I came back to my wife where she sits,

Again I will come to my kid, now he got a friend(girl :)) there, so he is playing with her and they are making some noise also.

Immediately my token number came for my interview.

I asked my wife to follow me to the counter, but suddenly my kid started running to the other corner of the hall, so i told my wife to bring him and come immidiently to the counter.

I went to the counter and it started ....

Here the interesting thing: my wife was in half way to the interview counter(she was chasing my kid to bring to the interveiw counter) by that time my interview got finished. so he hasn't seen my wife and kid(but he was observing my kid activity while calling for the interview).

Hope this helps
