L1 VISA approved
Dear all,
It was a pleasant day yesterday. I had my VISA interview scheduled at 8.30. I reached there at 8.00. There was a long queue standing in front of me. Since the security was rearranging the queue, giving preferences to family and single ladies, I had to wait until 10.00 in the queue. Also they give preference to those who hold Lounge Pass.
Before going inside, you should have your DD, Passport and Interview letter handy. Keep all the other document in a plain plastic carry bag. Once you enter, there will be security check. One more queue inside embassy who will give back our application form to embassy along with the token number.
Later there was a queue to submit the DD. I was expecting a separate queue to submit my DD, but it wasnt the case, i was standing in general queue. During submission of DD, they were also taking thumb impression. Further I was asked to wait until my token number is called.

After waiting for approx 20 mins, my name was called. VISA Officer lady was nice.

Me: Good Morning Ma'm
VO: No reply, Can you please hand over token?
Me: Sure Ma'm (gave Token to her)
VO: So, Who Do you work for Mr. YYYY
Me: I work for YYYY & my end client is YYYY (I dont know why did I say end client!!!)
VO: How long have you been working for YYYY
Me: Its more than 3 years and 2 months
VO: Why do you want to go to US Mr. YYYY
Me: Bla bla bla......
VO: (Reading the Application Form and I797) Your VISA is approved Sir, Bla bla bla.. ( I wasnt able to understand last sentence as I was not in position to listen :-))

I wish you all, best of luck. Be prepared and face the interview confidently. I believe dressing formally, Eye contact and gestures are the key for success at US VISA interview.
Take care
Anand
