Happy to share my experience on 22nd July.

8 am was my appointment , reached consulate at 7.10 , but surprised to see the long queue for 8 am batch , i was almost 50+th person in the queue.

I was getting inside at around 8 , after clearing the security check, went to the other building, was given the token number sticked to my passport.

There were few consulate office folks assisting L visa applicants in arranging the document sets - basically 3 sets of I129S, I797 forms, Ds 160 and passport.& Demand draft. They direct us to a separate queue where the demand drafts were received at a counter and receipt was provided...then back to the seating area and monitoring our token number in the screen...once our token number pops up, we have to go and stand on the queue on the specified window for the interview.

now the questions..

vo - Good morning, are you from xyz company ? (she noticed my company id card)
vo- so you are applying for L1A
vo - who is your client ?
vo- what would be your designation at US ?
vo-how many total reportees will you have ?
vo- how many of your direct reportees ?
vo- please tell me the designations of all your direct reportees?
vo - who will you be reporting to ?
vo - what will be your salary at US ?
vo - what is your highest qualification?
vo (to my wife) - mam, what is your highest qualification?

i am a functional manager with 12+ experience , my suggestions are below.
a) attire - suite with tie
b) If you are applying for L1A , you should be a functional manager like a department head or a supervisory manager , in my case, i am a divsion head having quite a number of total reportees.
c) your direct reportees (going to be at US), need to be on managerial designation like Project Manager, Project Leader etc...not a team member.

All the best !
