L1A Blanket - Toronto
Hi Everyone,

I appeared for my L1A Blanket interview at the Toronto Consulate in Canada. I operate out of Montreal, Canada but generally from India. Since Montreal had longer wait times for a interview slot, chose Toronto as the PA location. Firstly, the Toronto consulate wasn't able to transfer my file from Montreal to Toronto. After waiting 45 mins in the consulate, was informed to resubmit the whole DS 160 choosing Toronto as the location....I scrambled back to my hotel in downtown and resubmitted my DS160 application to Toronto consulate. I came back and then appeared for my interview. By the time I returned to the consulate, the whole consulate was empty with only few of the consulate staff chit chatting with each other. I gave my biometric impression and then shortly appeared for my PA. The lady who interviewed me seemed to be a nice lady and below were my PA questions:

1. How long have you been in Canada?
2. Name of Employer?
3. Name of Client?
4. How long have you been working for this Employer and Client?
5. How many Direct reports?
6. Which place am I visiting in US?
7. Am I going to settle in US?

After that she mentioned that "I plan to issue you a visa" you shall receive your passport in 5 days if there are No Additional Administrative processing. After having a terrible start to the morning that statement kind of brought a smile on my face.

Today I received an email from the consulate mentioning that my Visa Application has been suspended for Additional Administrative processing under section 221g of the INA. I was neither given a Pink, Blue, Yellow or White slip in my interview...but still have been subjected to this ordeal.

Anyone else who has gone through a similar experience? Please feel free to chime in and provide your inputs...
