My observation is VOs are not there to reject your visa. They decide it based on your answers and DS160 only. If they are not satisfy with your answers then they do cross questioning to confirm their doubt before approve / reject visa. Also, VOs are really sharp people who observe small things very quickly before you notice. I was wearing my company ID card and he noticed that too.
