Hi all,
My L1B got approved today. Thanks a lot for people who had posted their experience.
My interview went smoothly and VO was Very very cool.
Questions asked.
1. Who is your client?
2. How long you are working for this client?
3. What are you going to do in US?
4. Why only u? why not others?
He typed for minute or so and said that VISA is approved.
You can see that the questions are not different from ones posted here. All that matters is what and how you answer for them.
The basic thing u should do is to make VO to believe that u are going to do something that u only can do.
In my case, i answered for 3 question as
- I am going to do enhancement work on a module for which i have done the design and evelopment.
- From this ans it implies that i have a specialized knowledge that only a few people have.
For 4 question - To narrow down that only i can work on the enhancement - i replied like
- It was 2 memeber team that developed this module and the other person is occupied in another enhancement and is not available right now. I am available for this assigment.
Thats all..
Other points to note are
1. Prepare a sound answer for the general questions and practice, practice and practice them.
2. Please do a mock interview sessions with your friend and get his feedback. The reason is 'We think that we can manage and asnwer'. But believe me, when it comes to real, most of the time, we fumble and won't asnswer what we have prepared.
3. What ever preparation we make - in your PA session - the atmosphere will surely put pressure
- It will be crowded and u can see people getting rejected and approved - u may here a different question that u havent prepared - u may seem to forgot what u have prepared and so on...
- One thing u can do to avoid this atmosphere pressure is to visuslize your interview and mentallly run it as many times as possible.
I know it is weird.. lol.. but it helped me a lot.
