Hi All,

Thanks to everyone who posted their experience here before. They really helped me in understanding the process and the type of questions that one may be asked.

Coming to my experience., I had the biometrics scheduled at 8.30 on 5th Sept and the visa on at 11.00 on the same day.

I reached biometrics center at 8.15 and in there already couple of ppl standing in two different lines. One line for 8.30 appointment and one line for 9.00 appointment. I stood in 8.30 line. At around 8.30, we were sent in to the campus and they verified the appointment letter, DS-160 confirmation copy and passport. (no need to carry any petition documents for the biometrics). There after, the biometrics and photo are taken. The entire process took hardly 10 mins. By 8.45 am, am out of the campus.

In the similar way, I reached consulate at 10.45 AM for my 11 AM interview. But to my surprise, the line at 11.00 AM itself is so huge (nearly half km). Stood in the line and by the time, I entered the consulate its almost 11.20 AM. After security check is performed, we were asked to stand in line based on the type of visa. L token applicants, please be prepared to wait for long, as I have seen that B applicants, E applicants who came after us, moving ahead of us. I did question the volunteers regarding this, but they just informed that L1 applications take time.

Anyways, there is check to keep the documents in order and then all L1 applicants shall go to counter, where they will be issued the receipt for the DD. After this, the time for the main interview.

In my case, there is only one question asked.

What's your specialization ?
I explained in one sentence.

He started stamping the documents and informed me that the visa got approved.
By the time, I came out of the consulate its 12.30.

All the best for you all.

Regards,
Krishna
