L1B Blanket approved
Slot: 10am

Chennai consulate is a mess, everyone wants to go early even though their slot is at later point of time. If you're visiting the first time and don't understand the local language you will find it little hard to navigate to join the first queue. Just ask the police person standing he might guide you.
I Joined 10 am line and was among the last few of 10 am batch at the tail of the queue. They started to let the 10 am batch exactly at 10, then there were few routine checks and took me 15 mins to be inside. There was guy checking docs as soon I entered. He asked the blanket candidate to go arrange the docs in this order
I-129S 8 pages, I-797 first page, DS-160 (3 sets of all these), Passport and remove any other pages/documents.
He made blanket candidates wait then bundled with rubber band asked to wait again. This took 20 minutes. All this while other types of visa candidates (F, B, H etc) were let in. Then we joined the common same queue which was huge and since the person was letting in candidates as they came in. Then again L1 Blanket and 221g candidates were asked to stay put in the common queue while others were sent for bio-metrics verification, this wait was again 20 mins. Then L1 Blanket candidate were asked to join the queue in counter no 14 to pay the blanket fee, this took me again 20 mins as the queue was moving slowly as the cashier took time verifying notes/DD/CC. I paid using cash.

After this, I was asked to join the biometric verification line and this took 5mins. Then I was sent to join the common queue where candidates were waiting for their turn to give the interview, this took me 25 mins. All this while you could see and hear other interviews. When my turn came I was asked to go to counter no of 32, luckily for me, this was like a small room isolated from others so disturbance and noise from others was very minimal. As I was waiting for my turn, lady consulate officer was interviewing B1 candidate and reject the application under 214b. Once she was done she called me for the interview. This is how the conversation went

VO started typing something and stamped my I-129S as approved and told me my visa is approved.

All it matters is you have a high salary and good experience in the current company if its a product based company its a plus. I was not even asked whats my specialization.

Thanks to everyone who has previously mentioned their experience it has helped me lot in understanding what type of question will be asked. I have been analyzing patterns since the past couple of months of experiences posted here. VO just look for keywords like developing/designing and evidence that the company is product-based and of course, your salary should match the role you are trying to portray eg you can't say designing and developing product and very low salary as it doesn't add up.

VO also cross-verify your answers. All my answer were 1 word / 1-line. Also Single/Married doesn't matter much. My interview was for hardly 2 mins. Everything was done in 2 hours.

All the best for candidates looking to give the interview in the future.
