L1B Interview at Chennai
Hi All,
A big thanks for posting all your experiences which helped me a lot in getting my L1B stamped successfully.
Following is my experience :
My interview was scheduled at 12 pm noon on Jan 4 th. I reached the consulate exactly at 11 am.
I felt i need to wait for long before entering the consulate but suprisingly the security officer let me in after checking my appointment letter etc. I guess the crowd was less that day.So, by 11:10 i was in and went to the prescreening counter after further security checks.
At the prescreening counter all my docs were validated and all 10 fingers were scanned. Then i was asked to enter the visa lobby. There i saw ppl waiting in the queue for their turns.I sat in one of the lobby chairs and clearly observed the interview scene and prepared myself. After 30 mins , all who had their appointment at 12 am were called and now i stood in the queue.I was getting nervous as the queue moved.Suddenly, myself and few others who stood before me were asked to move to a counter. The VO at that counter appeared to be a cool person.
He greeted me with a smile :
VO: Hi, How r u doing?
Me : Im doin good. How r u?
He smiled again and i handed over my folder.
He was typing something and checking my docs.
Then he asked me to place my right middle finger and then index finger on the scanner and verified it.
Then,
VO: So, How long have u been working for XYZ company?
Me: Im working for XYZ for the past 1 yr n 2 months
VO: Which client r u working for?
Me: Im working for the client ABC.

Ur Visa is approved and u'll recieve ur passport within few days.

Thats it.

I thanked him with a smile and left the place happily.

So guys, be cool.VOs are all freindly ppl and u need to b the same towards them for getting ur visa done. All the best !!!!!
