L1B Visa interview canceled/postponed
Hi All,
Very imp info to share which is already shared by few people. I went to Chennai Consulate on 8th Dec and cleared all paper work and went to VO (fat lady),
VO: Gm
Me: VGm mam
VO: (Kept looking at monitor for 30 sec) Do you have Border security fee exemption letter (Affidavit) from your company?
me: No Mam. actually I received the petition paper much before 20th Nov (Which was the date this new rule introduced) And my company HR's too were not aware about the new rule.
VO: Ok. Unfortunately we can not have interview today. Please bring this letter (underlined with missing affidavit) and come on any of these days and time. No need to take another appointment. (She returned few papers asked me to get it when I come back)/
Me: Ok Mam. Thank you! Good day.
And returned. Now have to travel again next week and hopefully will get visa stamped!!
Do not forgot to take "Border security fee" exemption letter or DD if not applicable. This is new rule for all L1B visa.
