L1, L2 Visa

Hi Folks,
     I was not aware of a superb website like this before my VISA interview and hence I failed in getting it stamped.
The questions asked to me were simple, but I was not prepared for it. The interivew goes as follows:

1. What is your total experience?
- X years

2. Since how long you are working with the present company?
- Y years

3. What will you be doing at onsite?
- I answered that I will be working with client on their requirements i.e. requirement gathering, and will suggest them possible ways to find out solutions on our proprietory tool.

*** She said - This can be done on Phone calls and e-mails.. why do you need to go there for this?

--> This started the fall down..

I explained her complete requirement gathering phase with sign off procedure.. But she did not seem happy.

4. What is the tool you will be working?
- I explained the tool in brief.

5. Is there a team already there?
- Yes. It is there.

6. So are they not aware of the tool?
- Yes they are aware of it, but they are architects and I am the developer. so our tasks are different. I will be customizing the tool which is out of work scope for the funcional architects

7. How many people know this tool?
- around 100 people in India.

8. How long will you be staying in US?
- 3 months.

The interview continued for 15 minutes and she said in the end that she doesnt feel that I have the specialized knowledge and she kept the visa pending.

Please learn from this experience and don't let this happen to you.. I am now asked to go for L1 individual and I am processing the same.
