Blanket L1 visa approved
Hi All,

The suggestions here have helped me at different steps. Here is my interview experience that took place today:

First off, for Blanket L1 they just asked for the first page of I-797 & eight pages of I-129S(in triplicates) and nothing else. After giving the DD, I then proceeded to the main queue where the interviews were happening.

The candidate in front of me got rejected(had some 8 years of experience vs 1.5y of mine). This made me nervous, but proceeded by keeping cool.

VO: Good Morning.
Me: Good Morning.

VO: You applied for Blanket L Visa?
Me: Yes.

VO: You will work for XYZ company in PQR location?
Me: Yes.

VO: How much is your salary abroad?
Me: ABC $

VO: How long did you work here?
Me: (Initially mistook for the duration of my stay in US, but corrected it later)1.5 yrs

VO: So what specialized knowledge you gained over here?
Me: (I'm really prepared for this question and was answering for around a minute, until I was interrupted by the VO).

VO: So the tool that manages deployment configurations(inferred from my above answer) is being used in which all products?
Me: Well, its being used pretty much everywhere since we follow a service oriented architecture.

VO: (After a long minute of typing) You can relax now. Your visa is approved. I'm doing some typing, so just give me a minute.
Me: Thanks.

Put the "APPROVED" stamp on two of the copies and asked to give one to HR and the other one to show at Port of Entry.

My Tips:
* All they look for is the candidate's body language while answering the question.(And of course, how accurate the answer is as per their knowledge). Hence, be confident at what you say.
* Make sure you don't stutter while telling. This gives an impression that the candidate is trying to hide something.
* Make sure you request him to ask the question again, in case you didn't here it the first time.
