Finally (almost) there
After what felt like an eternal wait, on April 13th, USCIS approved my I-485. I say *almost* there because my kids and I have been approved by my wife got an RFE. Here's my timeline

Canadian citizen (ROW), EB-3, Texas processing center (TSC)

02-28-2014 filed for H1B (from TN since you can't apply for GC from TN)
04-29-2014 Received H-1B receipt notice from USCIS
07-22-2014 Received H-1B Cap Notify the Office approval notice from USCIS
11-11-2014 Start PERM/Labor certification process
09-22-2015 PERM/Labor certification filed
02-29-2016 PERM/Labor certification approved
04-20-2016 filed I-140
07-11-2016 I-140 approved
10-20-2016 Adjustment of status filed
11-18-2016 received biometric appointment
11-23-2016 received I-485 receipt
04-13-2017 I-485 approved

It's been a long process. Especially since I didn't include the false starts in 2011 and 2013, but after 8.5 years in the US, I finally feel a little bit more at ease with my future.
