This website has helped me a lot in preparing for my interview. At first I was skeptical of getting my visa because my duration of visit was longer and many people had the opinion that for such a long duration I wont get a visa. Let me share my experience.
VO: Hi, How are you?
Me: Im good, How are you? (with a smile)
VO: Can you hand me your passport.
Me: Sure.
VO: What is the purpose of your visit?
Me: Requirement analysis and design discussions on my company's product.
VO: and that is for ----- company?
Me: Yes.
VO: What is the duration of visit?
Me: ---- date to ----- date, which sums up to 10 weeks.
VO: What is your designation?
Me: Software engineer.
VO: Salary in lakhs per annum?
Me: --- LPA.
VO: Place you are visiting?
Me: <City>,<State>
VO: Isn't 10 weeks a lot of time for design discussions?
Me: Yes but I have ...... (gave a brief description of my schedule)
VO: Are you married?
Me: No, Im engaged.
VO: Oh, Congratulations.
Me: Thanks.
VO: Ok, your visa is approved. thank you.
Me: Thank you.
In the complete interview,
1. I had a smile on my face.
2. I was confident, not over confident.
3. I was dressed in formals. Had my company ID hanging from my neck.
4. I had nothing to hide, so it showed.
5. I wasn't overly rehearsed, so I didn't respond like a parrot. It was more of a conversation.
6. I knew I was coming back and made sure the VO knew the same.
7. For longer duration make sure you have a proper schedule.
