L1A Individual Approved
I had my L1A Individual Visa interview today and the visa was approved.

Timeline:

June-end: L1A individual was filed under premium processing.
July 12: RFE on my petition
Sep 5: Response to RFE submitted
Sep 11: L1A petition approved

These were the questions asked in Visa Interview

Me: Good morning, sir. How are you?
VO: I am fine. Can I please have your passport

I handed over the passport

VO: So yours is an L1 individual visa. Is it A or B?
Me: A

VO: Who is your petitioner
Me: Gave my company's name

VO: Are you traveling for your company or any client?
Me: For a client

VO: Who is your client?
Me: Gave client name

VO knew client was located in CA and verified if I was going there - I told yes.

VO: Your designation
Me: Engagement Manager

VO: How many direct reportees?
Me: I will have 7 direct reportees

VO: How many indirect reportees?
Me: I have no indirect reportees

VO: Whom do you report to?
Me: Senior Account Manager of my company

VO: What do you do for client?
Me: Gave the details.

VO: How long will you be in US?
Me: Around 2 years

VO: What will be your salary?
Me: Gave the figure

The VO then was scrolling up and down (most probably reading my DS-160 on his screen) and then after a moment said my visa was approved.

From a few cases I noticed, the key clincher for an L1 visa is the salary. Since there is no salary cap on L1 unlike H1 visas, many companies misuse this. You should have a substantially higher salary than an average H1 guy since L1 is for managers.

Hope my experience helps others :)
