I-140 still pending: Family Out of US: I-485 needs to be started
I-140 in EB1C submitted to Nebraska Service Centre in Jan 2017
Currently, the center shows 16 months of processing i.e. will be approved by April 2018
Family is outside US and would be not coming back to Us for next 4 months.
Attorney suggesting to start I-485
Should I start I-485 only for me now (Oct 2017) or bring family to US asap and file I-485 together ? Family is not comfortable coming back to US soon and also my I-140 will be pending till April 2018. So does it really help to bring family back now and file I-485 now in Oct 2017? How much faster does it make the GC processing ? My visa is valid till 2019.
