feb 2017 update-FINALLY
Hi all,
I have submitted my i-485 under EB2 to TSC on Feb 2017. I just checked the status of my application today and it says “new card is being produced”. I guess our wait is finally over. I have the following questions though:
1- My wife’s application status is still finger print fee is received. How long does it take to get her status changed?
2- How long does it take to receive the actual card in mail?
My advice to fellow Jan/Feb filers is to contact your congressman’s office—preferably a democrat. I tried a republican senator and did not receive a response. Then, I tried a congressman’s office—was very impressed by their dedication to my case and after 2-3 days told me much more details than what my SR or immigration officer2 told me.
It turns out that nowadays, the background check takes too long. For me it took them almost 9 month to finish the background check…
