L2 EAD renewal
Hi,
I need a help to find a way from below situation in a way that L2 EAD is not affected.
My L1 visa expires 15 June 2019.
However my wife's L2 EAD sis approved only till March 22nd 2019.
I am due for my L1 extension.
Can you please suggest in what order should i proceed?
Option 1)
Apply for L2 EAD renawal in September 2018 (6 months before EAD expires). In this case would she just get till her L2 visa validation (i.e. Jun 2019). Or is there a chance of rejection.
Then apply for L1/L2 extension in January 2019.
And after L1/L2 extension, apply for L2 EAD renewal again.
Option 2)
First apply for L1/L2 extension in January 2019 (6 months before L1/L2 expiry)
Then apply for L2 EAD renewal based on L1/L2 extension receipts.
But there is high likelyhood L2 EAD renewal will not come till March (till her EAD validation date) so she might be out of employment.
Can someone please confirm if you were in a similar situation.
