My B1 visa got rejected. I am posting my interview for community's benefit.
Me: Good Morning
VO: Good Morning, passport please
VO: Purpose of visit to US
Me: I have developed a blockchain based product and I have to give demonstration of that product to my team and existing investors over there.
VO: What is your company Name?
ME: xxxx
VO: What is you annual income?
Me: xxxx LPA
VO: For how long you have been working with company?
Me: 11 Months
VO: Would you also be meeting with clients there
Me: No but I would be meeting with investors like ZZZ. We have also got two offices in US.
VO: For how long you are going to stay in US?
Me: for 2 weeks
VO: Have you visited any country before?
Me: Yes, I have visited Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.
VO: For work purpose?
Me: No these for leisure trips, I mean for tourism purpose.
VO: So you have not visited any country for work purpose?
Me: Yes
VO: Are you married?
Me: Yes, I got beautiful wife over here!
( At this point VO started typing in her system, I was hoping that now she will say my visa is approved.)
VO: sorry your visa cannot be approved and she gave me for 214(b) which says that purpose of my visit is not clear
Me: Ok, thank you
I am not sure where did it go wrong, any comments from community members are most welcome. I have to again reapply for B1 Visa. Should I get an invitation letter from a big client company or should I register for a conference there and show invitation letter for that conference. I need this visa asap. Any suggestions would be most welcome!!
